Gynoid doll comparison (M23R, M19R, M9, M150)

From right to left: M19DL/R - M23DL/R - M9 - M150

Information about the Gynoid models:
Date of arrival:

Model 9: 2020/08/26. (Elina)
Model 19DL/R: 2024/01/22 (Elina) (Personally known as Ronja)
HouYu M150: 2025/01/27 (Elle)
Model 23DL/R: 2025/11/18 (Vivi)

In this comparison, I've highlighted some of the things I personally think are essential to know about. I will do my best to keep this review as neutral as possible so you can form your own opinion and decide if this is a good fit for you or not.

Please note that the light in the photos can vary, and it may affect the appearance of the dolls.

At the end of this comparison, I will share a drive link with all the images included for you to zoom in on.

Unboxing

The box arrived in good condition, well packed and tied to a pallet. No signs of any critical damage.

The doll is packaged in a way that makes it easy for customs to inspect, if required. The foam around her holds her in place so she doesn't move during transportation. She is securely wrapped in a silk blanket that completely covers her body. It prevents oil leakage and shields her from dust and direct contact with the packing material.

Her head was protected by both a silk blanket and bubble wrap to prevent it from damage. The addition of bubble wrap appears to be a new measure, as I have not observed this feature in the packaging of my previous Gynoid dolls.

Here is a look at Vivi’s face, just unpacked from the box.

Several accessories came with the doll: a suction cup designed to easily adjust and position the eyes, the user manual, a ring, a pair of separate tongues (standard with every soft head), the Early Bird bikini, and an electric pump for easier cleaning.

First impression

My first impression of her was that she was very light and easy to lift and move around. I haven’t weighed her yet, but according to others who have, she is supposed to weigh 30 kg with her head. She feels lighter and easier to carry than my HouYu, which is around 27 kg with just the body.

Deeper investigation

Let’s move on by comparing the hands. The images below show a comparison between the Gynoid dolls. All three hands have a different feeling when touching, but M19 and M23 are quite similar to each other in both detail and joint stiffness. They are both made with a plastic skeleton, while the M9 and the HouYu (M150) are made in brass or something very similar.

The M23 fingers offer a slightly wider range of motion than the M19, though the M9 and M150 models still provide the widest range overall. However, the joints on both the M9 and M150 have started to loosen. I haven't noticed any difference on the M19 so far since she was new, and I anticipate the same for the M23 in the future.

The overall movements of the hands are similar to the movements we can do as humans. They have their limitations, but I think the M23 is the most accurate one so far.

I get the impression that the M23 has improved durability and puncture resistance compared to the older models, which are more fragile, but I could be wrong. Her silicone feels stronger, and I noticed this by a mistake I made. Her fingertips were pressed against another doll, and the fingers showed no signs of any damage, while I knew that damage would have appeared to the other girls if the same had happened to them.

HouYu’s hands, and especially her fingertips, are very soft and fragile. This was something that later on was improved so they wouldn’t poke through as easily. M19 has a similar softness, but I have been way more careful with these while moving her around.

Something else I think is worth mentioning is the silicone on the fingertips. The finger bone on M19 ends around 10 mm before the silicone finger itself, and for the M23 it’s around 5 mm. Because of this, the tips of the fingers are more floppy and may easily get squeezed. I have only punctured the fingers once on my M19, but it was very easy to repair without any visible scar.

Now, let's move to something that I think is important to bring up. This is something I forgot to mention in my earlier comparisons with HouYu. The images below show how the silicone behaves when the wrist is twisted. It has become better over the past years, but it still appears as a flaw.

As usual, I used the wrong settings for this kind of photo, but I still hope you'll get a hint of what I'm trying to show.

While we're at it, let's talk about the realistic behavior of the silicone on the dolls. The knees have been significantly improved since M19. The problem before was that when you bent the knee, the silicone became deformed and looked unrealistic.

When we look closer at the dolls, I’d say that the HouYu doll M150 doesn't have any truly visible deformation either. When bending the knee, it looks very similar to the new model M23.

The seamline is also hardly visible on the newer models compared to the earlier models. It’s quite hard to notice in the images, but I can say that it looks good.

About the breasts. I decided to add the bionic breasts for the M23, as this was something I wanted to explore deeper, but I have to admit, I had a hard time telling the difference. The feeling is just great and similar to M19.

I'm guessing that I can feel something inside the bionic breasts, like a small jelly ball or something. I wrote before that I couldn't tell the difference, but I just noticed this! "Edited"

By comparing the Gynoid models to the HouYu, I’d say that there is a very notable difference when squeezing the breasts. The outer silicone on the breasts of the other Gynoid models is very thin, and by guessing, it feels like the silicone is just around 5 mm compared to HouYu, which feels more like 10 mm thick. The inside material feels mostly the same, but the outer silicone makes the breasts appear different from each other.

The silicone feels different on all the models. This is something that will be very hard to explain for everyone to understand, but I will do my best to describe it as I picture it. Starting off with Model 9. Model 9’s silicone is not as stretchy as the other models, and she has a soft foam core underneath, which makes her soft all over. It’s super hard to explain how it feels, but the silicone itself feels more compact, while for the other models, the silicone feels more spongy or tofu-like.

Model 19’s silicone is very soft in some places, such as in her hands and all around, but she has a harder inner foam core, which doesn’t make her as soft. Her breasts are just amazing, but they have started to sag.

The HouYu M150 is soft all over, and she has a soft inner foam core. Her silicone feels spongy, which gives a very satisfying feeling while touching. The breasts are very durable and resistant. They are soft and squeezy, but they don’t flow as well in the hand as the M19 and M23. I can comfortably say that these breasts won't sag or deflate.

The M23 is, of course, the most evolved one of them all. Her breasts are miraculous, and they have all the pros from the previous models. They have this thin outer silicone layer all around the breast and the soft gel inside. The silicone is very soft, and her inner foam core is similar to M150, but the overall impression of the M23 is better. The breasts are more detailed in both texture and feeling. I can sadly not comment much on the Bionic breasts for now, because I don’t really know the difference between them and the standard version.

Feet-M23-M19-M9-M150.png

Moving on to the doll's feet. After taking the photos, it was hard for me to see the difference between HouYu's feet and the Model 23. They have the same type of toenails, and they are very similar in sculpting. The toe joints on M23 are easy to pose and can hold their position.

I personally think that the feet on Model 19 are still the most detailed and well-sculpted ones. The new feet on the M23 are beautiful too, but they don’t give the same impression as they do for the Model 19.

M19 still has the hardest feet, and I feel more comfortable having her standing on her toes than the other models. The back of her heel cracked because I didn’t pose her feet in a high heel position, which I recommend that every Gynoid owner do. This is a common issue with hard feet and especially with some Gynoid dolls. Having the foot standing flat at a 90-degree angle may eventually cause damage to the doll. It’s an easy repair that I’ve done, but it can be prevented if you know about it.

Joints

There are already many videos showing both the range of motion and the stiffness of the joints. So I will make this short.

Both M9 and M150 remind me a bit of each other. The joints vary a lot in stiffness. Some of the joints have lost the ability to hold a pose, while some joints need a lot of force to move. I don’t know if this goes for all the HouYu models, but it’s what I have encountered with mine.

The joint stiffness of both M19 and M23 is smooth, and almost all joints acquire the same amount of force. Their joints are not too tight or too loose. They are tightened just the right amount.

New ROS

Gynoid has introduced the new ROS upgrade for Vivi, which will also be forwarded to the other ROS heads. This upgrade sort of prevents a shocked expression when opening the mouth. The silicone is now prevented from being stretched around the eye sockets, and the eye expression stays pretty much the same.

I took three types of photos for this: one with the mouth slightly open, a second with the mouth fully closed, and a third with the mouth completely open.

Both the Vivi head and the Mona heads are made the same, and the reason Mona’s eyes appear larger is simply because they are larger.

A friend mentioned that some of the earlier eyes on Mona looked bigger due to a spring mechanism pushing the eye forward, and the soft silicone couldn’t hold it back. It seems this issue has since been resolved, as I no longer notice it while the mouth is closed.

The internal ROS is actually a bit different. The texture on both Mona and Elle is mostly the same, but the biggest difference is that Mona’s tongue is larger than the other heads. Vivi appears to have a smoother texture that isn’t as narrow, as you can see in the photos below.

Lower body

Now we can move down to the lower parts. This is a photo showing the vagina of both the M19 and M23. The new M23 does not have the same feature as the known M21. When spreading the legs of M23, the vagina opens widely, and I’ve tried different ways of spreading the legs to see if the vagina would act any differently.

I also decided to put the M23 in a doggy-style position, as this is something I think most people want to see. She has a clear texture inside her anal hole, and her butt cheeks are the softest compared to all of my Gynoid dolls.

I included a video link here where you can get a hint of how soft her cheeks are: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EdMy1x3EL1o-zLtlP1SOpcY2lOCOWxmk/view?usp=sharing

As you can see here in the photo above. The legs are spread in a normal position, which makes the vagina gap quite large. You can also see that the chosen vagina texture doesn’t start at the opening. The texture begins deeper inside, right after the vaginal vestibule.

My own final thoughts

I’m happy with the outcome, and I can both see and feel the difference between her and her sisters. I was amazed at how similar she was to HouYu in some parts, too. Especially with the knee joint and softness. While her hands were very similar to M19, she also had the same great joint stiffness as her.

There are still a few things I want to see improved for the future, but so far, I’m still very pleased with the doll. Some of the things I want to see for the future of M23 would be no gape vagina and better silicone behavior when twisting the joints, for example, when you lift her arms or when you twist her wrist. Mostly everything else I think of is already good and will most likely continue to improve over time.

A question some of us are asking ourselves is, are the bionic breasts worth it? I wish I could answer this, but I can’t. The only way for me to find out would be to have an M23 doll without the bionic breasts. But the thing I just noticed when feeling her breast this evening was something like a jelly ball inside, right behind the areola. As I don't really know what I'm looking for, this is the only difference I've found. "Edited"

In the end, I’m very fond of the M23, and I would have bought it again at some time when more have been improved. It has already become a favorite, but the vagina sculpt sets her back in my own liking. I liked the former design more on the vaginal lips. Her overall proportions and length are great, but she truly has a more petite appearance than some of the other models.

I hope you’ve found this comparison helpful, and I will gladly discuss further if you have anything special you want to know about.
